42!

Thursday, November 24th, 2005

This 42 isn’t a Douglas Adams reference (though there is a connection), but rather the number of years ago today that Doctor Who first went on the air, with the episode “An Unearthly Child.” Be sure to listen to your favorite John Smith & the Common Men record to celebrate. Or maybe watch an episode of the show. :)

In other news, buzzComix seems to be back up after a server move (though it’s back where it was November 8, since that was when the backup was from), so here’s a new bonus photo of Ebb with the new computer he bought for the station.

An update

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2005

Site update: It seems I haven’t updated the bonus archive in a while, so I’ve just added the 20 assorted strips and sketches that went up as voting incentives between the last time I updated it and the current three. (buzzComix may or may not be working right now… looks like I may not have picked the best day to have a V3 ad up there.)

Other update: At the rate I’m going (or rather, not going) it doesn’t look like I’ll have the thing I’m working on for NaNoWriMo done by the end of the month, but I’m not going to declare it a total loss just yet. I could add “I am a fish” to the end of it 11,625 times and call it done… Or maybe even make some actual progress on it. (You never know!)

Record Show

Monday, November 21st, 2005

There was a record show in Wilkes-Barre today, which I had completely forgotten about (shame on me) until my wife Karen reminded me. We weren’t looking for anything in particular, but went for a quick look anyway and picked up a dozen 45s.

On that note, today’s bonuses are a sketch of Ebb at the record show, a photo of Ebb at home with the 45s he found, and a new record on the Ebb’s own label. Thank you to everyone who’s been voting for Station V3!

(And if you’re curious what those records in the photo are, there’s a list of them here on the forum.)

New Who

There was a special Doctor Who scene done for the BBC’s Children In Need Appeal night, and it’s online here.

Station V3 is Still Missing

Friday, November 18th, 2005

It’s been over a month now since the station disappeared, and they still haven’t found it… But I suppose if Blake’s 7 could get through two seasons without Blake, Station V3 can get through a month or two without the station. (But I’m not planning to replace my computer with Slave.)

Today’s new bonuses: At buzzComix, a look at what the people who put up V3’s signs on the planet are doing now that it’s missing. At TopWebcomics, one of the pirates working on my NaNoWriMo bit for me. And at Webcomics List, a bad translation of today’s strip. (As over!)
